Mort Sullivan and Family donate $400,000 to
Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital’s Partners in Caring Campaign

Arnprior, ON, Nov. 16 – Maurice  T. (Mort) Sullivan and members of the Sullivan family announced the largest gift to date to the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital’s Partners in Caring Campaign to renovate the hospital’s Emergency Department.  The donation of $400,000 - $270,000 directly from Mort, is comprised of individual contributions from Sullivan family members and long time friend and colleague, Bill Holmes, Vice President of Sullivan Holdings (Arnprior) Inc.

Well known for the expression, “Do it right the first time because it’s better that way and faster and cheaper than having to do it over,”  Mort, a life-long resident of Arnprior and known philanthropist, has been committed to the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital since it was built in 1945.

Mort is a Life Board Member of the hospital, former Town Councilor, former School Board Trustee and former member of the Board of Governors of Algonquin College.  Known for his caring and charitable nature, Mort also likes to say, “You can never do anything too good.”

The Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital is grateful to have friends like Mort Sullivan and the Sullivan family.

The Partners in Caring Campaign is a fundraising initiative to raise $3.5 million to renovate the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. The renovations to the Emergency Department will lead to better health care and more effective patient service. Our over-riding objective is to create a state of the art facility that meets the needs of patients from across our service area.
