Games
Bingo is big at The Grove. Residents regularly attend bingo sessions that
are set up and run with the input of volunteers. News & Views is a popular
mind stimulation program with our nursing home residents. Volunteers and
residents discuss local and world news and there is always an opinion to be
heard! Carnival games definitely make everyone feel young! Volunteers set up
and run games for our residents, such as bean bag toss, table bowling,
tennis basketball free throw, golf and tic-tac-toe. They keep track of
scores so that lucky residents end up the competition with some special
prizes. Table games and cards are also popular activities favoured by both
residents and volunteers.
